INTRO TO SCREEN PRINTING ON FABRIC
2-week workshop: October 13 & 20
Tuesdays from 5:30-8:30pm

This workshop will cover all the basics of screen printing! We will take inspiration from spring flowers and plants, or anything you’re excited about. You will leave the workshop with three tea towels featuring your own artwork. All materials included.You are welcome to work digitally if you have your own device and knowledge of creation software. SCREEN PRINTED T-SHIRTS
3-week workshop: November 3, 10 & 17
Tuesdays from 6-8pm
Polka! Press, 2051 Winnebago Street, Madison WI
Design and screen print your own t-shirt by hand! This workshop will cover the basics of screen printing a one layer/one color print. We will take inspiration from nature, or anything you’re excited about. In the first class we will create our designs and coat screens with emulsion. In the second and third classes you will expose your screens, learn to print, and heat set your t-shirts. Expect a communal atmosphere of helping and learning from each other (one student prints at a time). If you prefer working digitally, please bring your ipad or laptop.
