SCREEN PRINTING TWO: LEARN TO PRINT TWO LAYERS
in collaboration with the Textile Art Center
3-week course: January 14, 21st & 28th, 2026

Class Level: Intermediate level
Age requirements: 18+
This intermediate level workshop is open to anyone who has taken Intro to Screen Printing with Bernie or has screen printing experience. In the first class we will create our 2 layer designs and coat screens. In the second class we will burn screens and print our first layer, and in the third
class we will burn our second screen and print our final layer. You will leave the workshop with one set of 4 napkins featuring your own artwork! All of Bernie’s workshops focus on creativity, community, process over product, and learning over perfection. Wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting ink on, bring an apron if you have one, and rubber gloves if you don’t want ink on your hands. Optional: If you prefer working digitally, please bring your ipad or laptop. Otherwise just bring your ideas and you will create your stencils by hand. INTRO TO SCREEN PRINTING ON PAPER
4-week course: February 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th, 2026

Age requirements: 18+
In this four-week workshop you will complete two printing projects and learn all the basics of Screen Printing on paper. We will cover different techniques for creating stencils, including hand-drawn, paper cut out, or digitally printed. You will gain experience coating a screen with emulsion, learn to burn a screen with an exposure unit, learn to reclaim a screen, and have ample opportunity to practice printing multiples on paper. Beginners or those looking to refresh their screen-printing skills are welcome. Register here!
